Div 1 and Div 2 Men Head into Playoffs! Wed Sept 1 Div 1 Men played host to HRFC with a convincing 57-0 win over the long time rivals. Their last season game vs. the Valley was forfeited on Sunday Sept 5, leaving the TARS undefeated in 1st place heading into Playoffs - their opponents yet to be determined.
Div 2 Men head into quarter finals this weekend against 4th place PEI. Game is at Co-op field in PEI Sunday Sept 12 at 2pm.

Div 2 Men Move on to Playoffs!
After a close 42-40 win over the Valley on Saturday, the Div 2 Men move into 5th position and onto the quarter-finals. They will face PEI on September 11 at 2pm on Co-op Field. Congratulations boys!! Saturday also saw the Div 1 Men beat the Valley 39-7. The Div 1 Men remain undefeated with 2 season games remaining.
Both Div 1 and Div 2 Women ended their seasons on Friday night with back to back Finals. Div 1 played HRFC early Friday night for the NS Championship. Tars held off their opponents for most of the first half, but HRFC capitalized on several silly penalties and broke through the line a few times in the second half. Tars saw a gilmmer of hope when the ball was swung wide for winger Monica Lauder to touch it down late in the second half. Final score was 32-5 for HRFC.
Div 2 Women went on to play Enfield for the Div 2 Championship. In what was possibly the girls hardest (and longest) game of the season, they took the title with a 12-5 final score. Congratulations to both teams on excellent seasons!

The Men had a close battle and ended with an 18-13 win for the Tars who remain undefeated in 1st position with 4 games left in regular play. The women overcame Enfield with a score of 64-5 in their final league game of the season. This puts Div 1 Ladies in 2nd place, for a matchup vs. Truro on Saturday Aug 20 for Semi-Finals. Haiti Relief Aid
Q104 and Rugby Nova Scotia Raise over $4000 for Crisis in Haiti With great appreciation to Q104, the Dartmouth Pig Dogs, Halifax TARS and the Rugby Nova Scotia community in general we have successfully raised over $4000 to aid with the crisis in Haiti by collecting money at the Windsor Street intersection today.
Not only did we fulfill an important humanitarian contribution, we made great strides in showing the public what we have to offer as rugby players and supporters.
Thank you to all those who contributed time, money and support to a very needy cause.

Q104 will be going car to car Tuesday morning beginning at 6:30 AM at the Windsor street exchange collecting money for the Haiti Disaster. They have been busy broadcasting this throughout the day and will continue doing so until tomorrow morning.
They've turned to the rugby community to help provide bodies and we have had an influx of volunteers... a great example of what our rugby community has to offer. We can still use more to make this an even bigger success for an important cause.
If you can help please come to the Q104 office for 6:30 AM or meet at the site. For additional info contact your club representative and if you are not able to help out be sure to make your mark by having your donation ready for your commute to work
