We are excited to announce Phil Rodgers for the Men's and Ron Cleroux for the Woman's side in 2009.
Both of these talented athletes bring years of experience to the table I would like to be the first to congratulate you in your new positions.

Phil Rodgers

Apart from my vast rugby experience, I bring with me many core values as a rugby member; whether it is as a player, a coach or an administrator as I have been an active member in each of these arenas. This provides me with the ability to understand and communicate with all key members involved with a team; from captain to coach, coach to executive, and back down again.

My experience as a Coach includes;

  • 2004 – 2007      Coach of the McGill University Woman’s CIS Rugby Program Provincial Champions in ’04 & ‘05
  • 2002 – 2005     Coach with Ste Anne de Bellevue Rugby Club
  • 2003                 Coach   of the U19 Girls Lac St Louis Regional Rugby Team
  • 1992 – 2000      Coach of the Lachine High School Boys Rugby Team
  • Coaching Certification Level 2 (Quebec) CC # 434788

My experience as a Player includes;

  • First Division Team Captain of Ste Anne de Bellevue Rugby Club 2006 – 2007

§  Active player / mentor with Ste Anne de Bellevue Rugby Club from 1991 – 2008; First Division Club Champions: 91, 92, 93, 94, 07 – Second Division Club Champions: 91, 93, 02

  • Rookie of the year 1992 – Ste Anne de Bellevue Rugby Club
  • Active Rugby Player since 1987
  • Member of the Quebec U17 Provincial Team
  • Member of the Quebec U19 Provincial Team – Canada Games – Bronze Medal Toured with the Canada Junior Development Squad to the USA
  • Toured Ireland and Wales

Not only does my experience display success, it also highlights my ability to work with others and follow and understand club standards and values.  I have a strong and relentless work ethic, with a keen ability to enforce rules; all while being friendly and respectful.

 In short, I have the qualification and, more importantly, the ability to perform the job at hand.

 Looking forward to becoming part of the team,

 Phil Rodgers
